Alaska Music Project for Youth (AMP) is an Alaska state-wide initiative that creates opportunities and access for youth to learn how to play instruments, study with working musicians and record their own original music. Live Large Design developed the brand and web structure, demonstrating AMP’s unique position in the multi-generational Alaska music community.
Custom illustrations and a bright color palette were used to relate to the youth market, while still speaking to parents who desire to be a part of such a positive community initiative. After a solid brand foundation was developed, we delved into collateral design, including large event banners and illustrations that really bring the brand to life.
After designing the a visual foundation to showcase AMP’s identity, we delved into the interactive design. We wanted to create a digital home for AMP that would allow viewers to easily engage with the brand. Clear call-to- actions were used in conjunction with carefully designed icons, prompting viewers to interact with the organization.
AMP has recently succeeded in bringing eight mobile recording studios to rural Alaska. Live Large Design supported AMP with ongoing design for benefit concerts, event promotion, photography generation and fundraising efforts to help make this dream come to fruition. AMP continues to play a vital role in the Alaska music scene.
